Write a short paragraph describing who you are:I am a self proclaimed Swahili Language Activist determined to seeing the survival of a language spoken in Tanzania, Kenya, Madagascar,Comoros, Rwanda, Congo and parts Somalia that people disregard, despise, adulterate and categorize as a dialect which its not. I am an incredibly talented young woman with a passion for learning new languages i believe by doing so we get to understand a culture and discover aspects of a community that we normally wouldn’t. I personally speak 3 international languages English, Swahili ,French ;6 local Kenyan languages and have some understanding of Spanish. I adore History ;knowing the history of places, things or people is equal to understanding and learning how to deal with these said places, things or people, then again just the thrill of discerning the roots of people, a place or a thing is exciting. I am drawn to literature whether fiction or non-fiction be it poetry from Ovid, Edgar Allan Poe, Homer, Valmiki , Lewis Caroll, E.E Cummings,China Achebe, Gina Mhlope,Warsan Shire,Iman Woomera, OR prose from Chimamanda Adichie, William Shakespeare, Chioma Okparanta, and many more. I am a woman who lives for music ;especially from the 90's going back to the 50’s, Jazz, Hiphop, RnB, music from Africa especially that utilize traditional instruments. I find that they have a certain enchanting factor listening to the sweet pieces by Zuhura Swaleh, Maulidi Juma , Juma Bhalo from Kenya , Oumou Sangaré, Fatoumata Diawara from Mali, Umukulsoom from Egypt and Yvonne Chakachaka , Miriam Makeba from SouthAfrica and many more just sweeps me off my feet. I listen to pretty much world music from Asia, South America, Europe with too many favorites to list down in an paragraph. I am an animal person who has compassion and adoration for both wild and domesticated land ,sea and air creatures,i believe that animals have a capacity to understand and show compassion or comprehension too. I adore Travel especially backpacking as it creates an opportunity to experience peoples lives in situ, i love fashion too and Art especially by surrealists like Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, Picasso, Rénee Magritte and many more affiliated with the dadaist movement. I intend make a difference in my community, my country and the world through the above mentioned areas i am passionate about. For what is life if not passions embodied.
What makes you a powerwoman?I learned how to fend for myself at an early age and thanks to all the experiences i have been through since then; in writing, field jobs, marketing ,modeling and personal life like romance , family and friendship values , i am at a stage in my life where I serve as an appropriate role model to young, headstrong girls around me and i believe this aspect is what makes me a power woman.

What are your hobbies?Dancing, Listening to music, Writing poetry ,stories and plays, Travelling, Reading, Drawing, Watching movies, Yoga and Cooking.
What is your favorite thing to do?Sit on the grass in a calm park on a warm day with my Steven King ,Faye Kellerman novel or E.E Cummings poetry collection and sketchpad.
Where is your favorite place to be?Where I am the most happy at the moment. One day it could be next to a breathtaking waterfall in the north of Malawi, on an beautiful island near Zanzibar petting giant tortoises and the next it could be camping with my family in the south of France or just watching a comedy with my mother and sisters in the noisy Kisauni neighborhood.
I never limit my mind and my sensations to just one specific area.
Do you consider yourself a party person or a home person, why?A little bit of both. I love being in the comfort of my home but, also love going out to party with friends; dance a little ,have a laugh. I live for changing scenarios and patterns.
Why did you enter the competition?Miss Multiverse competition is unlike many other pageants, it more than just beauty and is more on growing the value of multi-existance. It is a good platform for me to learn and to show other young women that it is okay to be a multi-faced, multi-talented,multi-skilled empowered woman. Its will also be good stand point to help me raise awareness to issues hindering the growth of the modern woman.
Who is your hero and why?Jokate Mwegelo and (this may sound cliché but my mother) Tabi Mwikali are my heroes.
Jokate is a philanthropist, media personality, entrepreneur, businesswoman, model, film and music artist. This Tanzanian woman has managed to do it all in a short period of time. She is an advocate for the education needs of girls from various villages in rural Tanzania, she never gets distracted by social media, fame or outside influences. I admire her for living up the promises she made while contesting Miss Tanzania 2006. Most beauty queens make speeches just to get the crown and the glory that comes from it but not this woman. She came out 1st runners up and used her mileage from this to start a change wave. At only 30 she has made major moves than her fellow contestants and peers.
Tabi a hero to me in the familial education aspect. She raised 3 girls fearlessly, with a limited or close to nothing income. She crossed crocodile and hippopotamus infested rivers ,worked extreme manual labour, sacrificed her life so that we could have a future in a region where single women are ostracized and bullied for living without 'men' in their lives. And through all this back breaking beastial like 6am to 6am period of her life, at 54 years of age with back complications, stomach problems and visual issues, she still maintains her love for life keeps a wonderful smile and never complains.
What color relates to your personality and why?I like to think of my personality as a mix of colors like an exploded firework; this represents my ability to be open-minded ,curious and adventurous; which requires precision and wit to deal with. However, If i had to pin down a color (gun to my head sort of situation) I would be solid magenta; daring, adventurous and bold.
What are you freakishly addicted to?Books! Books! Books! I read a lot of classicals like Jack London, The Bronte sisters, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Homer, Jane Austen, F. Scott Fitzgerald ;also Poetry from across the centuries; fantasy , thriller ,mythological Novels ;Swahili works from Said Mohammed, Ken Walibora, Shaaban Robert, David Maillu ;comic books especially from french Writers like Riad Saatouf, Julie Maroh , a few manga And; books on Greek, Egyptian,Indian, African mythology. I am addicted to the point that sometimes i end up spending all my money on buying them.
What is your greatest strength? My OCD is my greatest strength. It helps keep me organized and determined.
Most scary animal or insect?Man is the most scary animal!
Look at what we are doing to nature, hunting animals like whales, rhinos ,elephants, tigers to the brink of extinction, building nuclear power that interferes with the environment, cutting down trees for our own benefit and to the peril of animals and the environment too, judging each other by wealth or popularity, and killing each other in uncalled for genocides e.g the 1994 Tutsi killings in Rwanda, the Holocaust during World War II, the 1960-1996 Guatemalan Civil War atrocities against the Maya, the 1622 Massacre of Native Americans in the USA, Slavery from 1619 and dating to modern day slavery going on in parts of Asia, Africa and Europe..
